I think every industry and business has acronyms of some sort and when you have worked there a while you become adjusted to it. That's a bad thing because it makes things so much more difficult to anyone new coming in or visiting. When I started my current role, I had to make a list there were so many. I gave up when I reached 50 but I'm quite sure I could have possibly got to triple figures. But of course it spills into our social lives - think text talk. What started as lol and lmao has become an entirely new language. Maybe it's time for a plain English campaign!

Hi Sam: Thanks for your comment. I was so excited to see the first comment on our new blog:) Wow. 50 acronyms sounds like a lot but I think if I wrote all the ones I commonly use, I would have at least that many too. I had to get a keyboard to get into texting because the editor in me just wouldn't permit me to write like that. I almost ended this post gtg, but then that would leave a lot of people wondering. I hope you will subscribe to our blog, I think we are going to have fun with this. If you have any suggestions, please send them our way.
