    Thanks, it is sound advice to ask good question and look for evidence of what the customer values. Smart businesses (and non-profits) us both formal feedback (such as random intercept and statistical sample surveys, benchmarking tools like Net Promoter Score, etc), and informal feedback (like social media comments, inbound customer inquiries and complaints, peer reviews, etc). Collectively, comprehensive and quality feedback gives any business the opportunity to change from a self-centered to a user-centered focus, and to point out truths that make them different and valuable to customers in ways that matter most to their customers. Be careful though, not to lead questions toward answers you like, to hear what you want to hear, or to reinforce what you think the customer should like, regardless of the authentic truth.
